The Daily Zeitgeist

There’s more news and less comprehension today than any historical period that didn’t involve literal witch trials, and trying to stay on top of it all can feel like playing a game of telephone with 30 people, except everyone’s speaking at the same time and like a third of them are openly racist for some reason. From Cracked co-founder Jack O’Brien, THE DAILY ZEITGEIST is stepping into that fray with some of the funniest and smartest comedic and journalistic minds around. Jack and co-host Miles Gray spend up to an hour every weekday sorting through the events and stories driving the headlines, to help you find the signal in the noise, with a few laughs thrown in for free.

We're back, and the Pelicans are looking like legitimate title contenders,
00:04
and it appears to have some other teams in their
00:06
collective feelings, which I understand. Meanwhile, the Celtics continue to
00:10
dominate in the Eastern Conference, and we'll get into that
00:13
and plenty. Moore with the co host of the Dunk
00:15
Tales podcast, James Hollis on today's episode. I'm Miles Gray
00:20
and I'm Jack O'Brien and this is my Jack got bab.
00:27
Welcome to the show, y'all, Thanks so much for coming bye.
00:30
If I said, wait, welcome so much for coming by,
00:31
Thank welcome much, so much for coming by, and welcome
00:34
so much, and thank us for welcome. Therefore we should
00:39
welcome our guests. The man who comes from Trinny grew
00:43
up in South Carolina and was a Bulls fan, then
00:46
switched to Celtics once magic, I said, Magic, Michael Jordan's retired.
00:52
Please welcome. Mr James Hollis. How are you so? I
00:57
didn't know on my my business peeping our front street.
01:00
Yeah we had to know because the second Jabari was like, Hey,
01:03
we're gonna be talking about the Celtics next week, and
01:05
I said, okay, what's who's the guest And he said, oh,
01:08
you know it's James, you know he's he was He's
01:10
from saying yeah, good. But I'm like, wait, what I'm not?
01:13
And obviously that's why I said, and see, that's why
01:16
Trinny came in the bio. Now do I have that right?
01:18
You were born in Trinidad and I was born triniad
01:20
big blood across Nixon over here. Man was brilling right,
01:26
that is correct, right, sir, So let the records show
01:29
that my man is from Trinny. Okay, I played the
01:32
fifth Wait so that when you switched to the Celtics,
01:35
they were they were rough. Yeah, it was like the
01:39
mL car Rick Petino era. Yeah, that's the you know,
01:42
Walter Walk McCarty and then yeah, yeah, all right, my
01:47
dad was in there. Jim O'Brien coached them for a
01:50
little while. Yeah, I'll be down. Yeah, and then along
01:54
Dark Winter for Celtics fans, the Big Three, Dan KG
01:59
came into Yeah. I was like, wait, what does this
02:02
roster look like again? And I'm like, yep, yep, Dana Barrows, Barrows,
02:06
Tis Edni Purvis Ellison stand up, nervous, nervous purpose exactly
02:14
he was the number one pick, wasn't he coming out
02:16
of Louisville? Never nervous purviose that he was the first Yeah,
02:19
eighty nine and Travis Knight. Look at look at them,
02:22
look at these, look at the gang altogether. Wait, so
02:24
what was that? Like? I mean, so we always like
02:27
to ask up top, you know, like what's your what
02:29
was your fandom journey? Essentially? I mean I basically cut
02:33
my teeth on MJ and the Bulls. That's when I
02:35
first really got to the league. And uh, look I
02:38
have the re worse about it. Once MJ left, I
02:41
jumped ship. I didn't. I'm not I'm not watching I'm
02:43
not watching this trash. And did you did you like
02:46
strategically jumped to the Celtics because they had had so
02:49
much success, And you were like, all right, no, I
02:51
like Paul Pierce, like like Antonine Walker for some reason,
02:54
Antwine Walker. You know, I think I had a pair
02:56
of shoes and people my favorite players and so like
02:59
even though they or fun to watch. So yeah, Employee
03:02
number eight was that was that his? He had like
03:05
some nickname that just never got off the ground. It
03:07
was like, yeah, something, I mean, it was all manufactured
03:11
by Adidas, right right, they really climed some employee that
03:17
I make baskets. Wow, this is in the feat you
03:20
wear era of Adida's shoots out of Me, right, because yeah,
03:23
that's when they had their their basketball commercials on Point.
03:26
What was that like, you know seeing Rick Fox kind
03:29
of leave y'all and then go to the Lakers. Did
03:32
that hurt or you don't? You don't even care? No,
03:34
I don't care. I've never been a super emotional fan, like,
03:37
you know, wow, how do you do that? Because every
03:41
time we have all of our guests come on, they're
03:42
all like emotionally healthy. They're like adults about their basketball.
03:47
I'm over here like wedding my pants because the Clippers
03:50
scored a basket, you know what I mean. So, like
03:52
I don't know how to do it. I don't know
03:53
how to parse through it all. I just don't get that, man,
03:55
Which is I find like super fans like fascinating because like, yeah,
03:59
it sucks the lose, like we lost the finals that year.
04:01
This sucks. And my friends like, oh, you must be
04:04
so piste off, like we were just in the finals, bro,
04:06
Like where were y'all? Man? Like, why would I be
04:09
piste off and trying to talk trash the Lakers, my friends?
04:13
Who was a Laker? You like, what why would I
04:15
Why are you trying to trash talk me? You didn't
04:17
you were you didn't make the playoffs? What do you so? Yeah,
04:20
you operate from wisdom like you're like, but comparatively, I
04:24
have nothing to be upset about, but you have everything
04:26
to be I mean, think about where Celtics worked last January,
04:30
you know what I mean, at one point eighteen and
04:32
twenty one, and go from that to the finals, like
04:35
to be sad about it. Stucked watching Jayson Tatum play
04:37
like you know, Gerald Wallace, you know that stuck watching
04:40
him get locked up by Wiggins. That wasn't a lot
04:42
of fun. You know that we saw the camp last
04:45
weekend a couple of times, but you know that happen.
04:47
What are your feelings on the Celtics because like over
04:49
here we're like, man there, who's who's gonna stop them?
04:52
But I know, you know, the last couple of last
04:54
couple of games been of a bit of a hiccup.
04:56
The last couple of games it looked identical to last
04:59
season where and took off. So that lets me know
05:01
that there's still remnants of whatever kind of hanging around
05:04
the team. I'm a huge Jalen Brown fan. I like
05:07
Jayleen more than Tatum, Like, that's my guy. I've been
05:10
a big market smart guy since he's there. So those
05:12
are my two favorite Celtics. Um I get that Tatum
05:14
is the Rolls Royce, but I like the other two better.
05:17
Um So, yeah, I have a good feeling about him.
05:19
I didn't. I've been kind of waiting for the other
05:21
shooter drop all season, you know, and I think the
05:23
last two games almost maybe I've been a little self
05:26
fulfilling prophecy, like, man, they can't be this good. This
05:29
is ridiculous. I didn't think that shooting, really, that shooting
05:32
might not be sustainable. They had four guys over and
05:34
like they were just bombing. I thought it would come
05:37
back down to earth a little bit. I didn't think
05:38
they would do what they just did. That's working against
05:40
the Suns and then the Clippers. Those are really too
05:43
bad stinkers. Two real stinkers though. You mean the Warriors
05:45
and the I'm sorry the Warriors. Yeah, yeah, he beat
05:49
up on the Sun. I was gonna say, did that
05:52
kind of for me? It looked like once that game happened,
05:54
I was like, oh boy, here we go. And then
05:57
it looked like up the Warriors came, and then a
05:59
lot of fans are like, man, Tatum's got the Warriors
06:02
living rent flee in his head. It's true. I think
06:05
he wants so bad to overcome it that he he
06:08
looked want it too bad. And then last game he
06:11
gets the Clippers, same kind of thing. The Clippers just
06:13
put two bodies at him and he gets I feel
06:15
like he gets into his own head a little bit,
06:17
and I mean he doesn't just play. I can see
06:19
him try to do moves and like, why would you
06:20
just yours into that guy? But in his head he
06:22
was already thinking I'm driving, I'm gonna do to yours
06:24
DAF I mean right right. Yeah. So the thing we
06:28
talked about, I think on last week's episode is that
06:31
their offensive efficiency, their offense this season, like last season,
06:35
the thing that really was the engine of their kind
06:38
of breakout success. Halfway through the season when yeah, I
06:41
think he said eighteen twenty one, they were they were
06:43
not a special team, and then their defense just jumped
06:47
up a level and they became one of the best
06:49
defensive teams of all time and suddenly they were like unbeatable.
06:55
And this season their offense has been that so home,
07:00
their offense is just weigh head and shoulders. When they're
07:04
at home, there it's head and shoulders above everybody else
07:06
in the NBA. And when it's away, they have the
07:10
fourth best offensive efficiency in the league. So overall they're
07:14
still heading shoulders above everybody else. But it feels like
07:17
there's something where they're just like a little more comfortable
07:21
at home, which obviously is not out of the ordinary.
07:23
But do you think in watching the games, do you
07:26
feel like there's something repeatable. Do you think like the
07:31
Warriors or the Clippers like figured out something or is
07:34
it just there there's a mental block there. Um, I
07:37
think the big thing was out or for being out
07:39
for both. Now I call him it's it's a funny term,
07:42
but I didn't really said. I call him the offensive lubricant. Yeah,
07:46
because he makes everything so yeah, he makes everything to
07:48
run smoother. You know, he's a just smart player. And
07:51
then defensively, especially against the Warriors, Blake Griffin and Luke
07:55
Cornette can't be on the floor and they they had
07:58
to be on the floor and and and up and
08:00
play and even Jordan Pool just feasted right there in
08:03
the deep drop. So these guys are coming off and
08:04
take a shooting practice and they got comfortable, and that's
08:06
what happened against the Warriors. Um Al Horford kind of
08:09
mitigates that, and then rob Williams help mitigate that. So yeah, defensively,
08:15
I think Boston's problem right now they let the game
08:18
affect them. So when they get behind, they start playing
08:20
a little tight on. You start playing a little hero
08:22
ball only Jalen Brown doesn't seem to really care things
08:25
like I'm going to scoop, But yeah, Tatum gets in
08:27
his head a little bit. I think Malcolm Brodden trying
08:29
to do too much last game, So yeah, I think
08:31
they got something to figure out. Jayleen Brown gets better
08:35
every season, which is like this season he's an averaging
08:40
twenty nine point eight points, nine point six boards, and
08:43
four point two assists a contest I guess in the
08:47
month of December. But he's he's just getting so he
08:51
just gets so much better season after season. Do you
08:55
think the thing that I think I'm most excited to
08:57
see about when Robert Williams returns is do you think
09:01
he will be doing the contest from the paint the
09:05
Cornett contest to contest where he jumps when he's not
09:08
even close, just to like some of the concentration. I've
09:12
seen one player make a shot when he did that.
09:14
It was a guy from tront what's it, I think,
09:17
Gary Trent Jr. I think, yeah, I think I saw
09:20
him maker three. Other than that, I literally haven't seen
09:22
a single of the person make a shot. And it's
09:23
funny because now even like they're talking about it on
09:25
the games, Um no, I doubt anybody else and gonna
09:28
start doing that. Yeah, did someone else do it? I
09:32
thought someone else tried it? Yeah, Marcus, Marcus, I know
09:36
on the other night we talked about the last episode,
09:37
but I could have swore Now maybe I'm just yeah,
09:40
taking that left over excitement like it's becoming a thing.
09:45
I mean, the proof is in the pudding, Like, yeah,
09:48
people miss shots when he does it somehow, and he's
09:50
done it a lot and people a lot of shots,
09:52
so it's it's it's uh, it sounds dumb, and I
09:55
know that, um what's his name, TNT guy, Jeff. I
09:58
know Jeff Van Gundy was making fun of him how
10:00
ridiculous it was. But but it works. I Mean that's
10:03
what's so funny. Like, sometimes the most effective things are
10:06
just things that are right in front of you, Like man,
10:08
that looks foolish, and you're like, you're actually blocking their
10:10
vital moment of seeing the basket when they're like, you
10:12
know whatever. But it's because, like we talked about how
10:16
Shacks did, I'm not shooting Granny free throws because it
10:18
wasn't cool. Yeah, you know, and that Shack you could
10:21
have scored like a billion more points if I gotta
10:24
be cool. So it looked cool, but I don't worry.
10:26
My fused wrist is all good. Check this out. I'm
10:30
just gonna push it straight there and make Charles Oakley
10:32
look like Mark Price or something. It's also like Shane
10:36
Battier did that. One of his secret hacks was he
10:39
would put his hand directly in the face of the
10:41
shooter so that they couldn't see the basket, so they yeah,
10:44
there there might be something there. There's also this basketball
10:47
documentary called Basketball where they just try and distract the
10:51
players well shooting. Yeah, Matt Parker and Tray stone Man
10:54
really slept on in the league. Would the best for you? James?
10:58
What's the end rule with the Celtics, like we're ending up.
11:00
Are you saying, are we getting to the finals? It's
11:02
it's gonna stop at the conference finals. What do you think? So?
11:04
I'm very much a pragmatic basketball fan, where I know
11:07
to make the finals, you can have all the talent
11:09
in the world, but it takes a combination of luck, talent, discipline, endurance,
11:14
mental stamina. All these things have to be in the
11:18
in the gumbo and the right ingredients, because not only
11:20
luck for you to you know, hit shots right down,
11:22
You're gonna run into an opponent that has somebody injured,
11:25
gonna run to an opponent that has might suspended, opponent
11:27
with somebody in a deep funk. It's gonna happen. Last year,
11:30
there's a confluence of events that led to Boston making
11:33
the finals. The chances of that happening again are so
11:36
low that I wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't. I
11:40
want them to, and I think they have to talent
11:42
to what we all will know. Rob Williams health is
11:44
a question. Just a couple of years ago, Jalen Brown
11:46
heard himself before the playoffs and didn't get to play.
11:49
All it takes is one badly spring ankle. All it
11:51
takes is one uh pulled hamstring. All it takes is
11:54
one concussion protocol at the wrong time. So I know
11:58
the chances are really really low, but I think all
12:01
the ingredients are there for Boston to do it. Okay, Now,
12:03
when you're sitting a top the league like the Celtics
12:06
currently are, I think in a lot of people's estimation,
12:09
but like, just like you know, sitting up looking at
12:11
the challengers, like, I think you have a unique vantage
12:15
point as to you can tell us who scares you
12:18
when you're looking around the league, like who who actually
12:21
scares you? Because the Celtics are the in my opinion,
12:24
the best team in the league, and when that's the
12:26
team you're rooting for, you have a confidence. But you
12:29
also have like an increased heightened sensitivity to like who's
12:33
actually dangerous around the league? I'm curious to hear what
12:38
are the teams that that frighten you as a Celtics fan. Milwaukee, Um,
12:43
your honest is a force in nature. And while Boston
12:45
did a decent job, but they still barely escaped with
12:48
the scared their teeth last year to playoff Chris Middleton
12:51
being back. They're gonna be tough. I do. I'm gonna
12:54
walk in. After all, this thing with Boston and the
12:57
Milwaukee had look great. I think Milwaukee but a game
12:59
behind Boston right now. When Middleton came back, he was playing,
13:02
I think I was watching his second game back. He
13:05
was just hitting threes that are the most contested three.
13:09
It's just a skill that like he has unlike anybody else,
13:13
Like it's just a bad shot from anybody else, and
13:16
he's just you know, he doesn't like elevate that much.
13:19
He just has a quick release and he will shoot
13:22
it directly in your face like that. That really put
13:25
me back in the Milwaukee's really dangerous. Something about him
13:29
playing Boston, he turns into prime freaking almost t mac
13:33
or something. I'm thinking there was a couple of games
13:35
that I remember when like he hit a shot I
13:37
could turn around over Marcus Smart from like thirty feet
13:40
at the buzzer to go in overtime. And Yeah, it's
13:43
something about seeing Boston Green, Kelly Green, he just kind
13:46
of he goes bonkers. Obviously, the Warriors, the wars are
13:49
in their head right now. They're they're in their head.
13:51
Jaylen Brown said that at the press conference at the
13:52
last game that he thinks that we wanted to win
13:55
this game too badly. We had a circled on you know,
13:57
on our on our calendars, and we were pressed thing.
14:00
We played a little tight. So yeah, that the words
14:03
that wanted to sit in their head. You gotta win
14:05
the games that you want to win. So in my experience,
14:07
you gotta learn to win those because, like I feel like,
14:11
especially if I'm in the NBA Finals, I'm gonna want
14:14
to win that game the first Personally, I don't want to.
14:18
I don't want to lose that when a lot of
14:19
people are watching. Yeah, I know we've all seen somebody
14:22
who tried. You try too hard and you end up
14:24
screwing it up. I'm number one tried too hard guys. Yeah, totally.
14:27
Those are two of the real ones. We're not scared
14:29
than that. They shouldn't be scared than nets. They've they've
14:31
proven that they can deal with the nets anytime. They're
14:34
just two disciplines over the nets. Philly, obviously you're scared of.
14:37
But we don't have to talk about that, um any
14:39
anything on the any other teams at West. I mean,
14:42
you know what, you could say that, but when Philly
14:44
has their three guys all when Maxi's right, you know,
14:48
Hardens hard but in beads and beat, So they're gonna
14:51
they have to have a healthy respect for Philly. Hardens
14:53
Harden but in beads and bed. Yeah, Like, that's just
14:56
so much knowledge of the NBA tied up in that. Yeah. Um,
15:02
in the West, No, uh no, not really. I mean
15:05
I think Boston has the horses to go with anybody.
15:08
They're deep, they have a lot of sighs, and the
15:10
wings their range e, they have shooting. You know, once
15:14
Rob comes back, they're gonna have you know, him and
15:16
al Man in the middle. You know, I think maybe
15:19
Boston needs one more like Josh Richardson would be great,
15:22
another wing to guard kind of defender off the bench.
15:25
But it is what it is. Yeah, all right, Well,
15:28
let's talk about the hottest team out west, right, let's
15:30
do it. Yeah, the Pelicans. Yeah, nine and one over
15:34
the last ten as of this recording, twelve and three
15:37
in the last fift team. Yeah, Zion is playing angry.
15:41
We haven't really seen Zion we we we we We've
15:44
seen him play like he was just for for the
15:47
first part of the season. He was just like excited
15:50
to be back out to the point that like it
15:52
was the first time I've seen a player just play
15:53
with a giant smile plaster on their face for an
15:56
entire NBA basketball game. That Son's game, though, he's he
16:00
was villain. Yeah. The dunks. The dunks alone, I mean,
16:06
turn over this one in the fourth quarter, second chance points. Yeah,
16:16
there's a lot of in this match, a lot of
16:18
people feeling what Zion was about to do again, another one,
16:23
Zion ceiling, Zion slamming, stole it with two hands, and
16:30
then get out the way, sir. The controversial one where
16:39
they were mad because the game was over. You know,
16:42
do you know you guys remember when Chris Paul a
16:44
couple of years ago, we're playing against Portlands and they
16:46
were up and the game was over, and he went
16:48
to the layup as pets Budgers and Dame said something
16:51
to him and he had that little what what I
16:52
do look in his face. Yeah, you don't want dunking
16:58
points in them? Yeah, Chris Paul will try to make
17:00
a lap right before that. That's going to read exactly
17:03
got the ball game was over because you tried it.
17:07
It's like I wouldn't have done anything if you hadn't,
17:09
but I guess here's the deal. And again I love
17:11
it because at the end of the game, you know
17:13
they're going, like, if the ball gets designed, you're Antonio
17:16
Daniels on the play on the play call going oh no.
17:21
It's my favorite part of the clip. He's like, don't
17:23
do well, don't do it. So Zion. Seven seconds left,
17:26
Chris Paul comes down, misses a layup, the the Pelicans
17:30
are up nine, is the game's over, and and then
17:33
Zion just kind of leaks out just here. He goes, no, no,
17:45
and he hit the three sixty windmill, three sixty win. No.
17:49
It was very similar to the Vince Carter dunk that
17:54
opened the most legendary dunk contest performance, except Zion's left handed,
17:59
so he's in that direction and he feels like he's
18:01
gonna do with the reverse the way Vince Card did it.
18:04
But then he brings up with the left hand again
18:06
just to hear the please of no, no, no. That's
18:12
my favorite because he knows they're like, we know Cleveland
18:17
a family guy. When Cleveland's house gets blowing up and
18:19
he falls out the bathtub. No no, no, no, no,
18:24
just one more time, please again. It's more than the
18:27
it's like the setup of him. It's basically, do not
18:30
unleash the power of the crystals. It feels like a
18:33
scene in like a sci fi film of like do
18:36
not unleash the power. I love that. And then Zion
18:46
like the bench is completely turned up, and I just
18:49
like for him, he was almost like that wasn't the
18:51
entertain y'all, Like, I'm letting people know right now where
18:55
I'm at and he's playing D. He's playing D the Pelican.
19:00
When you look at the defensive efficiency and offensive efficiency,
19:04
they are top four in both categories, which that's that's dangerous.
19:09
And Herb Jones out brandon ingram Out out, Yeah they're deep.
19:15
I wasn't worried about them before the season, but seeing
19:17
what they're doing now with ingram Out and Herb Jones out,
19:20
knowing that they're gonna get two players that caliber back again, UM,
19:24
teams only go far as their stars, and Zion has
19:26
proved himself to be a superstar. You know, I think
19:29
about the end the season, we're gonna talk about him
19:30
in the top you know, obviously top ten, top five,
19:33
top whatever, somewhere in there, he's that kind of game
19:36
changing player. Um. And then with a guy like c J,
19:39
they got a couple of shooters, Um Alvarez, that's his name, right,
19:42
Alvrez Alvarado. So he's a he's a great player, he's
19:47
a good bench. He's there. They got, they got role players,
19:49
they got the stars. They have everything you need. I
19:51
don't know if they have enough shooting, you know what
19:53
I mean? When they get to play the elite of
19:55
the elite, and teams just build a wall around Zion.
19:58
But that's where you got Ingram right them. Yeah. My
20:00
only thing is we all know teams usually go as
20:03
a progression, right right, and this is gonna be their
20:06
first year really with with Zion. So if they can
20:09
make it to the conference finals, would be amazing. Um,
20:11
if they make the finals, would be amazing. But we
20:13
all know that's not how how it kind of goes.
20:15
So yeah, it would be interesting to see. But I mean,
20:17
you're looking at them in like Memphis, so we're just
20:20
saying perform like pretty soon that's gonna be the Western
20:22
Conference finals. Warriors are in there in their last you know,
20:27
in the kind of twilight here of being a super
20:30
elite team. So it's interesting. Just I always checking with
20:33
five thirty eight because they're right about everything and the
20:37
politics and everything. But one thing they did get right
20:40
I remember last year, so they have their this is
20:43
like Nate Silver's analytics thing. And last year I remember
20:47
just watching when the Celtics were like eighteen and twenty.
20:52
They had the Celtics near the top for like most
20:55
likely to win the title. I was like, oh, their
20:58
models broken. And then I watched a couple of Celtics
21:01
games and I was like, oh, maybe their model is
21:04
not broken. And then by the time like they had one,
21:07
you know, like five in a row, they were heading
21:10
shoulders above everybody else. Um, they're actually like less a
21:14
favorite this season than they were last season, but they're
21:16
still like they have them as chance to win the finals.
21:22
The Grizzlies are next at then the Bucks, then the
21:25
Sixers for some reason, uh Sons, but like the Pelicans
21:30
aren't aren't anywhere near the top. I mean I guess
21:33
they're like eight. Yeah, yeah, So should we take a
21:39
quick break and then come back since we had a
21:41
big chunky first, take a big chunky first, big chunky
21:47
buttery first. All right, let's take a quick break, we'll
21:50
come back. We'll come back with our mad boost these
21:53
underrated performers of the week and some players and performances
21:57
that blew us away. And we're back. And this is
22:11
the segment Matt Boosti's Underrated Performance of the Week, where
22:14
Miles and I completely without any assistance from super producer Jabari. No,
22:19
not true, Jabari uh goes through all the performance of
22:23
the week. Jabari knows all he sees. Otherwise I will
22:26
just keep bringing up Austin Reeves and that doesn't there's
22:30
actually twenty lines of Austin Reeves copy here that Jabbar
22:34
just put a line through, even the one when I said,
22:38
well he got a haircut. That's what we're talking about,
22:41
right Nope, Okay, all right, so we we haven't talked
22:44
about yet. But the Lakers and the Sixers played and
22:47
it was a sloppy affair. But Austin Reeves was one
22:51
of the most fun and like I mean, he had
22:53
a really good game, but he he was putting it
22:56
together and one of the four people I was most
22:59
scared of on on the Lakers side. Okay, I think
23:01
you're just saying this because the Lakers and the Celtics
23:04
play tonight, and we've already said off Mike that the
23:07
Lakers are probably gonna get absolutely tossed, because I was
23:13
I was gonna actually ask you see, we're trying to
23:14
talk about underrated performers. But James, like, with the loss,
23:18
the two losses, right, you feel like the Celtics got
23:22
it like they don't want to lose three in a row,
23:24
you know what I mean. And it feels like a
23:25
good emotional emotional dimension, you know what I mean. But
23:31
how are you feeling? Because in my mind, I'm like,
23:32
oh no, they got someone to prove and we played
23:35
them tonight. So every year, this is the first time
23:38
Tatum came out so smoking hot, But the last couple
23:40
of games he's he only starts off really slow, and
23:43
so I'm not super shocked. I'm wonder if he's gonna
23:46
go through a swoon. Um again, he's been pressing. He's
23:49
like trying, trying a little too hard. So it would
23:51
be nice if be kind of relaxed. This game that
23:52
came out. I don't have a good feeling about it. Um.
23:55
Oh so we well we have that in common city.
24:00
Adversity hits every team, right, you know, Boston was on
24:04
a tremendous swell and the upswing all season. This might
24:07
be part of a dip. You know, I'm not saying
24:09
they're gonna lose eight, right right right, but they looked
24:12
I mean what they scored like ninety three points of
24:14
the night, you know what I mean? Like that's I
24:16
don't know, I don't know. I don't have the greatest feeling.
24:18
I could be a little pestimistic too, Even though I
24:20
said'm a pragmatic fan, I could know the same. That's
24:22
how I deal with it too. Yeah, just because expectation
24:25
is the mother of suffering. I just completely throw all
24:27
my expectations out the window. So that's how I protect
24:30
my ego. Funnily enough, when I didn't think the team
24:32
was a contender, it was so much more fun watching.
24:34
And then last year in the playoffs, I was like,
24:36
you know, had an indigestion a little bit because yeah,
24:40
why so, Yeah, when when you're at the when you're
24:42
actually on top of the league, it's it's a lot
24:44
harder as a fan, right right right. The hardest playoffs
24:48
for me was when the Sixers had Jimmy Butler and
24:50
I did feel like they were a contender. If they
24:53
could get by. Yeah, like I really was. That was
24:57
the hard That was the most painful one. Yeah. I
25:00
don't know if anybody remembers how that ended anyways. Underrated
25:03
Performers of the Week. A. J. Griffin out of Duke
25:07
Blue Devils has made two game winners this season. Which
25:12
that's that's pretty uncommon for rookies. We've seen that a
25:15
lot this season. Actually, I don't want to remind anybody
25:18
about you know, what happened between the Pacers and the Lakers,
25:21
but thanks. He is just the second rookie if you
25:24
ever have multiple game winners, joining Tony Ku coach. Wow. Yeah, okay,
25:31
that's not that's a recent good company there, I guess
25:34
ye Kelly Ubre eight or more and four of the
25:37
last eight games. But I want to talk about Bogdanovitch's
25:40
last two games off the bench for Atlanta. Twenty nine
25:44
point five points off the bench, seventy two point two
25:47
true shooting percentage threes in two games. Remember thirty eight
25:53
against the Lakers. Yeah, twenty two and the third quarter
25:57
when he is locked in, he's got he's got that
25:59
like a and hm that like you know you just
26:02
want once he's locked in, it's it's over, it's target practice,
26:06
and it's NBA Jim, He's on fire type territory. Could
26:10
you imagine if the Bucks had got him like they
26:12
were supposed to. Yeah, that would be ugly, that crazy,
26:16
That would have been a problem. Hey, speaking of a problem,
26:20
Joel embiid is a problem. We're moving on to our
26:23
players and performances that blewest away. I'll let you guys
26:25
talk about and bead putting up and twelve. Hey, Jack,
26:29
this is the question I see. There was a there's
26:31
like a meme going on in like Sixers Twitter talking
26:34
about like the sort of inevitable cycle of how the
26:37
sixer seasons go. Starts off, Sixers look underwhelming, then in
26:40
bad goes god mode, Sixers look dangerous, then Team Shortcoming
26:44
start to show up. Then GM trades for somebody, then
26:47
in beads supporting cast lets him down in the Sixers
26:50
losing the second round, off season moves bolster, hope and repeat. Yeah,
26:54
they forgot about the part where and beats face gets
26:56
broken in there somewhere. That's happened a couple of times
26:59
for some reason, just like you know, the largest most
27:03
indestructible force. You know, we're always worried about his feet
27:06
or his knees, and his face always gets broken and
27:09
just random accidents. But yeah, that's about right right now.
27:13
The cynical Sixers fans are like, we're right now and
27:16
in Beagles god mode. Yeah, and now everyone's like, but
27:19
what's the next move? Where the shortcoming? He start to shop?
27:22
I don't know. I mean, I feel like if Harden
27:23
Stay is healthy and Maxie comes back looking good, I
27:26
feel like I wouldn't be too. I would say you'd
27:29
get out of the second round. Out of the second
27:31
round is the Eastern Conference finals. I don't I don't
27:34
know about that. That's a big about hard in his health. Man. Look,
27:38
I'm I'm trying. I'm trying my best to give positivity
27:41
out here right now. Harden did in that same game
27:43
where MB went fifty three and twelve, had nineteen points,
27:46
sixteen assists, nine rebounds. So my question about the seventies
27:49
Sixers is they didn't have enough last season, and then
27:53
they didn't add anything. They didn't like make a coaching
27:56
change or anything this offseason. I mean, they had they had.
27:59
I guess that I shouldn't say that. They added the
28:02
guy from Memphis whose name is escaping me. Who's who's
28:05
been really good? But yeah, Melton, Melton has been really good,
28:09
but just watching them doesn't feel like, Okay, they've gotten
28:12
over that hump and their different team than the team
28:14
that can't make it out of the second round. So like,
28:16
that's that's my question. And he wasn't got mode last
28:19
season two? You know, um so is it enough? Like
28:24
did did Harden take it up enough? It hasn't looked
28:27
that way to me yet. I don't think. I think
28:29
Will Max is a boardline All Star when he's healthy
28:32
and he's cooking. So that yeah, that even though you
28:36
didn't really, like you said, add much him his game
28:38
taking elape is adding something, you know. Yeah, I'm hoping so.
28:42
And it's been tough to tell because he's been hurt
28:44
right right, but he looked. My thing is I wonder
28:46
if p J. Tucker washed a lot. He looks he's
28:51
averaging like three points yet in like thirty minutes cardios.
28:56
That'd be my one concern. He playing with an Apple
28:59
Watch on it keeps checking it when he gets to
29:08
Melton is really good. It does feel like they need
29:10
to make some changes rotationally to get more melting maybe
29:14
less p J. Yeah, I don't know. I think they
29:17
were so much expecting Bible to kind of pop, right,
29:20
and he's just he's done something. He's he's something. Yeah,
29:25
he's just too I don't know, you can't do anything
29:27
on offense. Triple J had fifteen points, seven boards and uh,
29:32
let me see eight blocks and win over the Hawks.
29:36
Tis Jones filling in for job with twenty two and
29:39
eleven assists. Can they lose? Are they? Yea? The Pelicans
29:43
are exciting now, but like the Grizzlies have that experience,
29:46
right yeah, and no Desmon Bin too, You're like, yeah, yeah,
29:53
they're they're deep. Bins is playing a lot like an
29:55
All Star this year too. Um, Like said Triple J.
29:58
He made a mood to other night. He uh, he
30:00
drove from from the wing to the room and it
30:03
hit a little like a low runner and he just
30:04
guys were bouncing off him like he started. His body's
30:07
filling out. He looks big and strong. So um yeah, man,
30:10
it's they're they're dangerous and they're they're deep. But I
30:13
don't know, I think the Celtics depth might have him
30:15
a little bit. Yeah. Yeah, the West is interesting because
30:19
it does feel like Memphis and New Orleans are the
30:21
two most exciting teams right now. In Memphis, I think
30:24
has one of the best city jerseys. So you know,
30:27
everything that chrome except for the gritty. I think the
30:30
gritty is the stupid dance. Oh sorry, Memphinians. Memphinians, that's correct. Uh.
30:40
Kauai put up his first pointing point game of the
30:42
season nine and six versus the Celtics. Uh. That's his
30:46
first game in over five hundred days. Miss him. Marcus Smart,
30:51
Jalen Brown, whoever, didn't matter. He was stuck on automatic.
30:54
And even the TV announcer, the Clippers guy, was like, yeah,
30:58
he's uh, he's downloading his second half software and yep,
31:01
he went to work. Did you see his interview after
31:03
the fact where he was like, I'm just like focused
31:06
on the postseason, Like this doesn't matter, This is like
31:08
boring essentially. You gotta love it though, right, that's what
31:11
they brought him in, Paul George for. They don't care
31:13
about the regular tees stuff like, hey, I get to
31:15
the postseason, man, are you thinking the Clippers want me
31:18
to playoffs? No? I mean I don't know. You don't
31:21
want to be in the seventh place. Heading into the postseason,
31:24
Tatum said the same thing. Over the day. He goes, hey,
31:25
all this is cool. It doesn't matter if we don't
31:27
we don't hang a banner, you know, I mean yeah, no,
31:28
I mean yeah for sure, Which that kind of sucks
31:31
though as a fan, I love the journey and I
31:34
don't want to have that feeling where I'm like, they
31:36
don't win. If they don't win at all, this is
31:38
none of this matter. Watching Jaylen Brown be awesome is incredible.
31:40
Watching Smart when deepoy is incredible. So I love that
31:43
kind of stuff. Yeah. Man. Then Dame that game against
31:47
the Wolves, like disrespected that first half. I think he
31:52
had eight threes in the first half. Threes in the
31:54
first half. Love it. It was, Oh man, I just
31:59
love when you're like, make him do anything about this,
32:02
no matter how hard you try. And it's like the
32:04
second he knew is like, I think I've reached the
32:06
point where I have just enough space to get this
32:08
shot off. He was taking it and even when he
32:10
didn't have enough space, it was just like I'd like
32:13
to shoot, like writing your face, Yeah, let me just suggest,
32:16
let me just give me a little space. Okay, there
32:18
you go. Here now you're next year's upper deck card.
32:20
And then sails Just Alexander three three assists, three steals
32:25
against Luca only at thirty eight, but I think they
32:28
lost that game. And then ultimately, yeah, I'm curious, is
32:31
there any chance Shakil Just Alexander could ever start the
32:34
All Star Game? Starters is based on voting, right yeah, well,
32:39
oh right, right right, But it's because I know Charles Barkley.
32:42
I feel like he's been like lobbying for him heavy.
32:44
But I just think, like when you look at how
32:46
he's playing, like clearly he's going to be in the
32:48
All Star Game. But I'm just like, is there like
32:49
another level of I don't know, um presence or like
32:53
having more fans like attention or something could change that,
32:56
or just like like you're gonna get on the team,
32:58
but it'll take a while to the fans about you.
33:00
I mean, maybe they start winning in a couple of years, right,
33:03
the Thunder make at least a playoff run, and they're
33:06
on national TV a little more because he's great. Yeah,
33:09
that's that's what sucks. The casual fans, don't They only
33:12
see him once and like, oh that guy was pretty good.
33:15
When they got him and to seven ft two plus
33:19
guys in the middle. If if they get Wendy, then
33:21
I feel like people start paying attention. Oh yeah, that's
33:25
gonna be It'll be three seven plus guys because they
33:28
then have Poku and then have Jet Please. I just
33:35
want to see that. Yeah. By the way, I like
33:37
you said, Luca only had thirty eight kind of season
33:40
he's having. I know, I just like to, you know, comparatively.
33:43
I just wanted to be like, look, and he did
33:45
four points better, but yeah, he's also incredible freak that
33:49
will not be stopped. Um and then Lebron still doing
33:53
it and a D had thirty four fifteen and seven assists,
33:58
but I don't know, Man's got a D in foul trouble.
34:01
That's the only reason they were able to, you know,
34:04
dominate the way they did. And even then the game
34:07
went to over time because they just tried desperately to
34:11
give it away so hard, Like they that lead quick
34:16
they were nine I think with thirty something seconds something.
34:19
It was like that pretty all that just completely throw
34:25
it away. It was a very different experience on my side.
34:30
But yeah, I mean again, I think for me, I'm
34:32
I will look closely at this game tonight. Um, as
34:35
you hear this episode, you will already know what happened
34:37
between the Celtics and the Lakers. But that is one
34:39
I want to feel good about. But part of me
34:41
just feels like there's the emotional momentum may swing the
34:44
other way. So the lebron gonna get the scoring record
34:47
this season? Yeah? Right, like soon? Ysh right, he's eight
34:51
hundred points away. I did the math. He only has
34:54
an average like sixteen points a game over season, So
34:56
he's gonna get it somewhere February maybe anywhere. Exciting. Alright,
35:02
should we take one more break? I think we should.
35:05
It warmed up? Oh yeah, let me just get warmed
35:08
up for this next sea and we're back and it's time,
35:24
amazing brother, amazing brother, for James Hollis to get into
35:28
the hot seat. This is the rapid Fire round of questioning.
35:31
Let's ask this question segment. Let's go so anti clematic
35:35
that it ends with round of questioning. Yeah. I love that,
35:41
you know, because you gotta you want to be technically,
35:43
I could be too concise with the name rapid fire.
35:47
No no, no, no, no. We'll give people a chance
35:49
to catch their breath exactly because you're not like you're
35:51
not make you spit the rap God verse from Eminem
35:53
or something like that, kind of rapid fire or maybe
35:56
something from Big Pun. But no, we're talking about these questions.
36:00
I will come very quickly now, James, We're gonna ask
36:02
you a question. Just respond, just react, don't think too much,
36:06
don't give it exactly, don't give long answers. And if
36:09
we start, you know, bloviating and start you know, giving
36:13
art to just just cut it off and keep it
36:14
going because at the end of the day, this is
36:16
the fact keeping us. Swing a sword at a four
36:18
door four swing whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. So that was
36:25
that the Whole Foods the other day, this is this
36:26
is on topic the other day and they had in
36:30
the magazine rack of magazine that was just called Eminem
36:33
and it was a picture of Eminem on it and
36:35
it's the greatest rapper a life. It's like, Yo, what's
36:39
going on with the Whole Foods client? That's his manager
36:42
who did that, because you know he doesn't use the
36:44
internet right right, because they probably were like, Yo, go
36:47
to your news stand and tell me if you're still
36:49
popping Marshall and then I've been a great guy. Gift
36:56
to you guys. Yeah, all right, here we go, start
36:59
the clock. Um, don't now no no knees weak, arms
37:05
are heavy. Mom spaghetti Jack, would you like to go first? Uh? Yeah,
37:09
Mom spaghetti. Indeed, you know the rules we play. It's
37:13
moms spaghetti, so you're going to play mom spaghetti rules.
37:16
So uh uh James contender or pretender? All right, uh
37:26
and I'm gonna give you some some teams here. Denver
37:29
currently has the seventh ring defense and find themselves in
37:32
the middle of the pack in a crowd of Western
37:33
Conference Contender or pretender, pretender's pretender. They just don't have.
37:38
The defense has been horrible. Their backup center is the
37:42
corpse of DeAndre Jordan's pretender d j K. How about
37:47
this out there doing it in the high altitude, you know, yeah,
37:51
good for him. I'm just amazed that he can, you know,
37:54
keep that many steps and no no break. Their congratulations, sir.
37:58
Next one, Brooklyn is seventeen and twelve, winners of nine
38:01
out of ten and finally looks like a team many
38:05
people anticipated contenders or pretenders. I have to go if
38:08
I got the quick pretenders only because the Bucks are there,
38:12
the Celtics are They're both those teams are deeper and
38:14
more disciplined, and right now the Nets I still don't
38:17
trust Ben Simmons, mhm, Really what do you trust about? Yeah?
38:23
What is it about? Might not take a shot in
38:27
the dark? Depending that come back to that one. Alright, Minnesota,
38:32
uh thirteen and fourteen? Not quite off to the start
38:35
they would have, like, given how much they swing for
38:38
the fences this past summer. You know, they're having a
38:40
little trouble because they've had to move Cat out to
38:44
the perimeter, out to the fourth spot, which want where
38:47
it wants to be, but it also doesn't he he
38:49
doesn't have the matchup that like allows him to, you know,
38:53
be the best shooting center of all time and therefore,
38:55
you know, draw the center out. So are they a
38:57
contender pretender? They are an ab laughing stop And I
39:01
love it. As the original Rudy Gobert hater, I love
39:03
every minute of it. They told me he was elite,
39:05
he was top fifteen, They told me he was a superstar.
39:08
That roster is a is a total travesty. They're ruining
39:12
our our boy, Anthony. What's his name Edwards and Wards.
39:15
They did a terror job building around him. They should
39:17
trade cat as soon as possible. They are a pretender,
39:19
they're frauds. When did they go wrong? Do you think
39:22
because they felt like, yeah, like if without that, it
39:26
felt like we were on a trajectory there with I mean,
39:29
they should train for traded for Donovan Mitchell, we should
39:32
trade it for Is that a warning tale? Two teams
39:35
like the Pelicans in Memphis who were just thinking like, well,
39:38
you know, maybe we start doing stuff or do you
39:41
just kind of like hold on, let this thing paying
39:43
big money for for centers, like you gotta stop paying
39:45
less unless they're Yokick or embiid and what are you doing?
39:49
You know what I mean? It's very It's very much
39:51
a move I would have made. I thought it was
39:53
gonna work out, and it's move I would have made
39:54
because I was like, yeah, well they can't like defend anyone,
39:57
so you just put that guy back there and her
40:00
play on the perimeter and he's gonna stop everything. But
40:02
it just totally messes up all the things that are
40:05
gone else. It was a very bad idea that I
40:07
would have fallen. Four Because I'm dumb. I don't know.
40:11
If that was evident to you, it would be a
40:13
very bad GM. Next question, and you know, James, we
40:17
gotta keep this going. You know, I appreciate the answers,
40:19
but we have to keep moving. The next question is
40:21
you have the chance to win ten thousand dollars to
40:23
make a layup with each chance twenty five thousand dollars
40:26
to make five out of five free throws, or a
40:29
hundred thousand dollars to make at least four of five
40:32
room deep. Which challenge are you taking. I'm taking the
40:36
easy money and the layups. Uh. As I was to
40:41
keep it moving, okay, all right, I'll respect that. See
40:44
I would be so worried about missing the lamp and
40:46
then everybody would laugh at me. Each hand, I would go,
40:51
could I do a two hander for the left handed
40:53
because I'm not allowed. You gotta you gotta do a
40:56
full left de lay up. There's gonna be a judge there, Miles,
40:59
and going up on my right foot. Yeah, it's a
41:02
dribble up lay up. I can't. Oh, no, it's a
41:05
dribble up. No, No, you know, you gotta you gotta
41:09
pull up. I'm still taking that one over there. They
41:11
used to give me a panic attack when I was
41:12
playing like junior high basketball, doing the layup lines all
41:15
right from the left. I'm like, yo, come on, now,
41:17
do all this in front of people. Also, I like
41:20
making George mike In's name Ryan with the con that
41:24
was like, hey, look we like Rudy Goilbert and George
41:30
McConn over here. You know what I mean? Here are
41:34
big men around here. Is James, what'll be saying? Man,
41:40
we gotta keep the same moving. Man. I'm sorry, you
41:43
know what I mean. We love you, man, we love you,
41:45
but we gotta keep this moving. Please appreciate it. Appreciate it?
41:51
Um is this many? Yeah? All right? Okay, so all right, James,
41:59
it's a new rule. You know we we we like
42:02
to say new rule around here when we're doing our
42:05
rapid fire. What's a new rule you'd like to see
42:08
implemented or altered effective immediately? I would love to see
42:11
them go the international rule of the goaltending stuff was
42:15
the rim it's in play. I would love to see
42:17
the NBA do that. Is that because you just watched
42:19
the Redeemed team and you saw how fun that was.
42:23
I think every year I think because like it's stupid.
42:25
What's it hit the ring to be alive? And I
42:27
think about how many how many blocks the guy would average,
42:29
you know what I mean, learned how to time and
42:31
knock him off the rim, got tip dunk so easy.
42:34
It just I think it'd be more entertaining. I like it. Yeah,
42:38
the Redeem Team documentary is fun, but just I just
42:40
finally watched it and it's a blast. I'll tune in
42:44
and check it out. But I mean, I remember watching
42:46
all that, reliving it, watching a live so I remember
42:49
Ricky Rubio being a big part of that, and just
42:52
like how how good he was, even though he was
42:54
I think twelve at the time that that game was played,
42:57
and they don't mention his name one so I don't
43:00
think of a documentary, which is weird, but I respect
43:03
this saying about him. It's about America, it's about the
43:06
US of eight. Yeah, James, we have to keep it moving.
43:11
I was at man. Okay, fine, next question, James, you
43:17
know a thing or two about NBA Twitter. What's your
43:20
favorite NBA tweet or Twitter moment of all time. You're
43:24
not gonna get me and you're not gonna suck me in.
43:26
You're not gonna. I'm just asking him. That's I'm not
43:29
asking about anything because I'm just asking you for you,
43:32
as a person who enjoys the NBA and Twitter, what
43:34
is your favorite? It was probably seeing Steve Nash. Uh,
43:38
somebody was heckling him and he said, I'm the hardest
43:40
forty year old you know, Brody Mecula. That was pretty cool.
43:44
Really Yeah, yeah, I just reply. So that's just a
43:51
one word way of now telling people to fight them.
43:53
It's I see people will at me all the time
43:56
or tag me and tweets all the time where somebody
43:58
is talking and one guy like, yeah, man to Mechla,
44:01
meet me to Mechula. It's all the time, honored, and
44:04
I'm proud to be part of the NBA Twitter lexicon.
44:07
Yeah all right, we gotta tell people what what that is, right,
44:10
I mean, if they don't know the ballad of snotty
44:12
dripping and u AF, just do some digging on their own.
44:22
It's Uh, there's plenty of articles. Plenty of articles have
44:25
been written. When I reachet this out, I'll make sure
44:27
I dropped out. We did a whole podcast out of
44:29
over on dunk Tails and all there's articles I was
44:32
we made huff posts, we did all kind of bleach report,
44:34
did the whole thing on it. Yeah, all that good stuff.
44:37
Someone basically asked you to fight them into Mecula on
44:40
Christmas Day. On Christmas Day, yeah, that isn't important important detail.
44:44
And he actually he actually drove away from his family
44:46
because I told him, yea, I'll meet you. But I
44:47
was actually in Arizona. So we left. Yeah, you know,
44:53
driving down the five the fifteen highways, just blaring fight music,
44:56
ready to fight over Kobe Bryant. It's always incredible with me.
45:01
I got death threats over that, Yeah, one of us.
45:03
I got death threats. I got called every name in
45:05
the book because they're like, why do you agree to
45:07
meet him? I said, because he's stupid. I'm not kind
45:10
if he did it, like he's the idiot, not me.
45:12
But yeah, I got called a coward, pump all that stuff.
45:15
Though maybe you learned a lesson about his anger, you know,
45:19
I'm sure, Jack, How are you gonna tell James? I mean, yeah,
45:26
all right, would you rather meet me in Vegas or
45:29
miles in Temecula? Is there a sea option? Because neither
45:33
one of those things sounds very favorable. Oh man, I'm
45:37
so much fun in Vegas? Are you serious? Yeah? I
45:39
don't like the gamble. What about wine Country in Temecula,
45:43
But we can go to see a show. I don't Oh,
45:47
I know all the man. I thought I had this one.
45:50
I mean, am I paying? I'm not paying, I'll say, Vegas? Yeah?
45:54
Is that? Is that anything? I think that counts? Jack?
45:58
Hold on, hold on, well, let's let's find are you
46:00
paying to me? Yeah? Now he's back. Have you seen
46:08
how much tickets cost? I just want to buffet? I
46:13
just want to buffet. I want to That's all I
46:16
want some try til Yeah, the buffets advertise the like
46:20
one price, but then they get you on little little
46:23
ways and then yeah, I'm gonna lose all my money
46:25
on a black jack hand, so I don't care. I
46:29
do need you to cover this. Actually, uh okay, look
46:34
you know what, I think that counts. That's a win
46:37
in my book. We're putting that up. Yeah, hang the
46:39
banner up. James hollis Man, thank you so much for
46:43
joining us. Before you go, we want to share some
46:45
tweets of the week with you and our listeners before
46:48
you tell us where people can find you. But we
46:50
asked all of our listeners, you said, what is your
46:52
NBA jam squad? If you could put anything together? Who
46:55
are you guys putting together for some fantastic matchups? I
46:58
just want to read a couple at alex K fourteen
47:00
dfsaid Tim Duncan and George Gervan on the Spurs Dr
47:04
J and Charles Barkley, Sixers, Kareem and Janice Bucks. That
47:09
one's wild shooting, though, you gotta have a three point shooter. Yeah,
47:14
I like that. Let we're playing a different kind of game.
47:17
I'm goaltending all day in that one. It's like nothing
47:20
is nothing's getting near that that ram. Then let's see
47:23
at Mark Bauman said Jaw and Big Country Bryant reefs together.
47:27
I would have gone with a Reef on that one.
47:29
You know, I'm more of a shriek of Doreine fan.
47:30
But also Anthony Edwards and Isaiah Ryder, Interesting Shay and
47:36
Seawan Kemp. That would be a fun one too. Yeah,
47:40
you know we're taking from the Origin Origin team. And
47:43
then at Saul Underscore, Bookman said Nash and Barkley would
47:46
be Dopeli, Juan and Hardened Mullin and Curry or PG
47:49
and Reggie Miller on the Pacers and the Realist Jay
47:52
Mark said, Durant Petrovitch is almost unfair. Okay, So make
47:58
sure you guys follow us on Twitter at mad boost,
48:01
these b double O S, T I E. S and
48:04
James Hollis Man, thanks again for showing up. I mean many, No,
48:12
I would actually I agree man, this is that this
48:13
has been really fantastic. We've had a good time. Where
48:16
can they find you and support you and all that? Um,
48:18
my favorite player was Scottie Pippens or just change letters
48:21
and you can find me on Twitter and instrement's notty dripping.
48:24
So we have our dunk Hills Pie, which I can
48:27
say it's on all platform. Um, we're just trying to
48:30
be like you guys. Uh yeah, me and my partner J. P.
48:33
Hive once a week check us out. We're not We're
48:36
not on you guys level. Yet you give us something
48:38
to aspire to. You appreciate you that we're in the lobby.
48:43
We're in the lobby, you know what I mean. We're
48:44
just in the lobby. We're all trying to get on
48:46
that elevator. All right, y'all, we'll see you next week.
48:49
We'll see what happens with the games we were talking about,
48:51

48:56
action as usual. We'll see it then. By by bad
