New service — Manticore Search
Released and available for ordering the new service — Manticore Search.
Manticore Search — is a modern, fast, lightweight and easy-to-use database designed specifically for search. Is an alternative to Sphinx, Elasticsearch, provides faster speed than MySQL's built-in search. Was created in 2017 as an fork of Sphinx, after which the code was almost completely rewritten, many bugs fixed and new features added. The code is open source and available on GitHub.
Key features:
- High performance. Manticore Search is optimized for large data sets and high workloads, capable of processing queries in milliseconds and supports scaling to increase performance.
- Full-text search. Supports complex queries, including phrase search, boolean search, date and number filtering, and sorting results. You can search for data in documents, blogs, articles, and other types of text content.
- Support for various data types. Works with both unstructured data and relational databases.
- Integration. Easily integrates with various systems and platforms. Supports APIs and various interaction interfaces, including HTTP/REST and SQL-like queries.
Plans. The service is a separate Manticore Search instance with resources according to the chosen plan: the minimum plan provides 1 CPU core, 1 GB RAM and 10 GB on disk, the maximum plan provides 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM and 100 GB on disk. The chosen plan can be changed in any direction an unlimited number of times, but not more than once a day.
Backups. Automatic backups are created for the instance every night. The copies are stored for the last 7 days and the first day of the current month, are placed on a separate server and do not use space in the instance.
Payment. Payment is withdrawn every night from the balance, the amount of the charge depends on the maximum plan used for the previous day. If the balance is insufficient, the service is deactivated and stored on the server for 10 days. During this period you can top up the balance, pay the cost of data storage from the moment of deactivation and reactivate the service.
Access delegation and ownership transfer is available for each instance.
