Commission fines X €120 million under the Digital Services Act

The Commission has issued a fine of €120 million to X for breaching its transparency obligations under the DSA. The breaches include the deceptive design of its ‘blue checkmark', the lack of transparency of its advertising repository, and the failure to provide access to public data for researchers.

EU agrees to phase out Russian fossil fuel imports

The EU countries and the Parliament have reached an agreement to permanently end Russian gas imports by November 2027. The Commission also remains committed to ensure the phase out of all remaining oil imports from Russia by the end of 2027.

Commission unveils two solutions to support Ukraine's financing needs in 2026-2027

To address Ukraine’s financing needs in 2026 and 2027, the Commission proposes two possible solutions - EU borrowing, relying on the EU budget, and a Reparations Loan, which would empower the Commission to borrow cash balances from EU financial institutions holding immobilised Russian assets.
